EasyPeasie Hot Chocolate Recipe

First, here's your quick and "easy peasy" recipe...

Add a teaspoon of the mild/sweet flavor of EasyPeasie Red Blend to your hot chocolate to warm you up and veggie you up this winter :) One teaspoon of EasyPeasie is equal to a toddler serving of vegetables!

And here's your detailed recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups whole milk (or your preferred milk alternative)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (optional for extra richness)
  • 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon EasyPeasie Red Blend
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt
  • Whipped cream or marshmallows for topping (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Heat Milk and Cream: In a saucepan, combine the milk and heavy cream (if using). Heat over medium heat until it's warm but not boiling.
  2. Add Chocolate: Once the milk is warm, add the finely chopped chocolate to the saucepan. Whisk continuously until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Blend in EasyPeasie: Whisk in the EasyPeasie Red Blend, ensuring it's fully incorporated and there are no lumps.
  4. Sweeten and Flavor: Add the granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Continue to whisk until everything is well combined and the hot chocolate is heated to your desired temperature.
  5. Serve: Pour the hot chocolate into mugs. Top with whipped cream or marshmallows if desired.

Note: The addition of EasyPeasie Red Blend not only enhances the nutritional value of this classic beverage but also introduces a subtle depth of flavor. The blend's combination of mild, sweet veggies complements the richness of the chocolate, making this hot chocolate a delightful treat with a nutritious twist. Perfect for cozy evenings or chilly mornings!
