EasyPeasie Chicken Nuggets Recipe

First, here's your quick and "easy peasy" recipe...

Eating out and no veggies in sight? Sprinkle EasyPeasie Ginger Blend right into that sauce (bbq, ketchup, etc) to add a little spice and veggies into your kid's meal. Easy peasie ;)

And here's your detailed recipe!

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs or panko
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Cooking spray or olive oil
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1-2 shakes of EasyPeasie Ginger Blend (adjust to taste)

  1. Prep the Chicken: Rinse the chicken breasts and pat them dry with paper towels. Cut them into bite-sized nugget pieces.
  2. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  3. Prepare the Coating: In a shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs or panko, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Egg Wash: In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and water.
  5. Coat the Chicken: Dip each chicken piece into the egg wash, ensuring it's fully coated. Then, dredge it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing the breadcrumbs onto the chicken to adhere. Place the coated chicken nugget on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with all chicken pieces.
  6. Bake: Lightly spray the chicken nuggets with cooking spray or brush them with a bit of olive oil. This will help them get a golden, crispy exterior. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping the nuggets halfway through, until they are golden brown and fully cooked.
  7. Prepare the Ginger-Boosted BBQ Sauce: In a small bowl, mix the BBQ sauce with a shake or two of EasyPeasie Ginger Blend. Stir well until the blend is fully incorporated into the sauce.
  8. Serve: Once baked, remove the chicken nuggets from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve with the ginger-boosted BBQ sauce on the side for dipping.

Note: These oven-baked chicken nuggets are a healthier alternative to the fried version. The addition of EasyPeasie Ginger Blend in the BBQ sauce not only enhances the flavor but also adds a nutritional boost to the meal. Enjoy these crispy nuggets with the tangy and slightly spicy BBQ sauce!
